31.01.2022 - 2nd Report of the Public Private Working Group

The public private working group (PPWG) has as objective to organize water professionals from EU and India to establish a common vision and a shared understanding of the challenges in India’s water and wastewater sector. The topics designated to be under discussion were selected according to the research cluster developed in the PAVITR project, the experience and knowledge of the PAVITR’s partners and the potential interest for stakeholders.

The present report collects the information of the Community of Practices carried out in the PAVITR project. A total of 6 workshops have been organized in which 10 partners took part in different topic and more than 17 experts participated actively. The workshops provided valuable information about the global vision of the partners involved regarding the water and wastewater situation and evaluated the problems and barriers observed as well as potential solutions in three topics: (1) water potabilization and rainwater harvesting, (2) water reclamation and (3) sensors and high-resolution management.

The results provided common views on the problems associated with the regulatory frameworks, the collaboration EU-India and the necessity to work on a long-term perspective. Different solutions were offered, and potential stakeholders were identified.
