Extensive research has also been done in the removal of nutrients from domestic wastewater and the optimization of advanced stormwater runoff treatment using planted wetponds. The participation of AU in Pavitr  will enhance the cooperation among research institutions, empower and diversify our capacities, while we can transfer expertise to the participant partners.

Under FP7, AU participated in the SWINGS project. AU is leading the Deployment & Development of Schemes for Resource Recovery, Reuse and Recycle foreseen in the PAVITR project.
